As I write this the winter holiday season is in full swing and Lady Carol and I hope each and every one of you and your families had a great holiday season. For those of us who have served overseas either in uniform or as a civilian during this time of year we know holidays take on a special meaning. During wartime when we pause to enjoy a meal with comrades we are reminded that freedom isn’t free. More than one meal there has been that empty place where a war fighter should have been but had made the ultimate sacrifice. Take pause to remember those who have served and if possible thank them, those who are serving and those who are on eternal patrol, keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Installations have been completed and it has been great to take part with our clubs. Our Temple, clubs and units are made up of some great Nobles. It is especially heart warming when we get to witness a lifetime achievement award presented. We are a special bunch helping local folks, contributing time and money for childcare and supporting our Masonic causes. Every award I see presented gives me inspiration and encouragement to do more. Keep up the good work Nobles.
For 2018 I ask every Noble to make a concerted effort to do more, bring in one new member, make it down (or up for some) to at least one more event, contribute an extra buck or two to a worthy cause, preferably our trust.
Thank you for all you do and looking forward to serving you in 2018.
